Most drivers have heard the word “alignment”, but many don’t really know what it is or why it’s important. Your wheels are attached to the suspension system, and the suspension system must be straight or “aligned” for the wheels to go down the road straight. Alignments must be performed by professional service technicians.
Many technicians recommend having an alignment at least once a year. You vehicle may need an alignment sooner if it was involved in an accident, or you ran over a large object that could have caused damage. When you have new or different tires put on your vehicle, your technician may also recommend an alignment.
Your vehicle will perform better, drive smoother, and get better gas mileage. You may have warning signs that your vehicle is in need of an alignment, such as vibrations, veering to the left or right, and not staying on the center of the road on its own.
